2001意大利剧情歌舞片《托斯卡》由伯努瓦·雅克导演，安琪拉·葛姬主演，影片讲述的是：
普契尼的《托斯卡》可以是個廉價的煽情戲，一部糅合著愛情、政治與慾望的通俗劇－如果沒有他那扣人心弦的華麗樂章，與撕裂的神經末梢融和一致的音符的話。把這樣一部膾炙人口的歌劇搬上銀幕，也幾乎註定要令導演焦頭爛額。然而奇蹟出現了，班諾瓦．積高的《托斯卡》應是十多年來少數歌劇電影令人滿意的一部。積高以三種途徑（以華麗的攝影拍攝全劇的戲肉，十六毫米的黑白菲林拍攝錄音過程，及以錄像俯瞰歷史現場）來閱讀普契尼的傑作，不但叫人一新耳目，原劇的迫力更絲毫不減。原籍羅馬尼亞的女高音安琪拉．葛姬演繹的托斯卡，更是一次顛峰演出。
Jacquot transposes Giacomo Puccinis famous opera to film in this stunningly filmed sung and performed production featuring two of todays hottest opera stars The films starts with blackandwhite footage of the recording studio He then brings the action forward on the sets but makes frequent cuts to the studio This avoids the sense of having filmed a staged production and establishes an air of nonreality Jacquot then adds a further visual dimension to the film by filming dazzling sequences of gardens and the night sky in Italy using a video camera The two singers are also a couple in real life a fact which adds emotional depth to their personas
